Stephen Vitiello’s A Bell For Every Minute

A Bell for Every Minute is a multi-channel, computer-based sound installation by renowned sound-artist Stephen Vitiello. Commissioned for The High Line’s 14th Street Passage, recordings of bells made around NYC are played back over the course of each day. Working with Creative Time (one of the country’s premier producers of cutting-edge public art), Friends of the High Line and Vitiello, Greenhouse Media helped facilitate this public sound-installation, serving as consultants on technical and equipment specifications and supervising the installation of the work.
