The Race Street Connector: Richard Torchia (project in-progress)

Greenhouse Media is currently working with acclaimed artist and curator Richard Torchia, and the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy to realized a large-scale public artwork. The Connector project is part of the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation's waterfront improvement projects and serves as a link between the city and the river and the new Race Street Pier Park. Torchia, in collaboration with Greenhouse Media, will be creating large-scale LED video screens that will transfer live feed images of the river to the LED screens above Race Street on the I-95 approaches. This conceptually compelling and poetic work represents the City's first technology-based Percent for Art commission.
