Points Of Connection

GhM was originally commissioned to work with artist James “Yaya” Hough on an original film and animation as part of his inaugural artist residency at Philadelphia’s Office of the District Attorney. As the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic severely restricted the shape of the project, GhM’s role changed to that of documentary filmmaker, telling the story of Hough’s public art project Points of Connection.

As the inaugural Artist-in-Residence at the Office of the District Attorney of Philadelphia, artist James “Yaya” Hough worked to humanize people living and working within systems of criminal justice by cultivating relationships and connections through his artmaking.
